| Have you ever looked at your phone bills to see how much time customers spend on calls to your business? The answer could be costing you money, but not in the way that you think.
How one small change in your phone technique can quadruple your sales.
Problems arise when customers try to make that call and it goes unanswered. Remember, they were on your website and probably found you through a Google search or in a directory. When you don’t answer your phone what do they do? Most of them will hang up without leaving a message and call the next company on the Google list. Just like that, you lost a lead.
Do you answer your phone all the time?
To find out if this happens in your business, just look at your phone bill. How many calls of 10 seconds or less are listed? These calls are from people who didn’t get an answer and hung up. You can’t leave a voice message in under 10 seconds. You may even find that some people called multiple times and still didn’t get an answer.
Answering your phone matters. The companies that answer their phones get more business.
You’re marketing worked. You got someone to call you. Don’t lose them by not picking up.
Let us know what you think. Do you get a lot of telephone calls from your web site?
While internet surfers prefer electronic communication, it is not so for the home services industry. Most of our clients find that they get more phone calls from the internet than emails. To understand why, we have to study the psychology of your customer. Most customers either have a question they want answered or would like to get an idea of costs. They know that they can get this information faster by calling your office instead of sending an email and waiting for a reply. |
